FAQ
Common questions
We usually install during the day, but evening appointments can be arranged if needed.
Each antenna is 50 cm long. The sensor box itself is roughly 20 cm × 10 cm × 5 cm and is placed indoors.
Yes. Our installation engineer will talk it through with you beforehand, and if you would prefer to install it yourself, that can be arranged.
No. The sensor is receive-only, so it uses very little power. On a modern broadband connection, you will barely notice it.
The contract will automatically roll on after 12 months, and you will keep getting paid. We reserve the right to cancel payments after 12 months, with 1 month notice, and will arrange collection of the sensor and antennas if you no longer wish to keep them.
You will normally get paid at the end of each calendar month as part of our batch payments.
If you disconnect the sensor from the internet or power during the contract, we will contact you to find out what happened. These sensors are being used to track live aircraft, so it can be disruptive if one turns off randomly. If this happens persistently, we reserve the right to stop payments and request collection of the sensor.
